OPEN POSITIONS:
Commissioning Agent
Reports to: GreenWorks Studio Leader
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for the development and implementation of LEED commissioning plans for building projects of various types and sizes.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
• Provide LEED-required commissioning services for new and existing building projects.
• Develop and document project specific LEED commissioning plans.
• Provide field support for LEED commissioning process.
• Provide LEED and sustainable design consulting services for new and existing building projects.
• Prepare and monitor project status reports.
• Attend project meetings as necessary.
• Interface with project design team members as required for execution of LEED commissioning plans.
• Prepare written reports of all activities and commissioning process status.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or construction management.
• Minimum five years of experience in A/E industry.
• Understanding of ASHRAE Standards 90.1 (Energy Efficiency), 55-2004 (Thermal Comfort) and 62.1 (Ventilation).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Computer literate.
• Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.
• Ability to work well with others under deadline situations.
• LEED Accreditation or ability to become accredited within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in building commissioning is desirable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Capable of traveling to and from project sites for attending client and project meetings.
• Ability to access project sites for observation, investigation and evaluation purposes.
• Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes.
• Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.
LEED Accredited Professional
Los Angeles / Chicago
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Provide team leadership in regards to sustainable design, including integrated design coaching. Work with LEED Documentation and other rating systems on a variety of building types.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
• Responsible for leading teams in integrated design for building siting and system concepts and the through out the documentation process beginning with programming to schematics and through the construction administration phase.
• Responsible for coaching project team members on aspects of sustainability.
• Prepare and monitor project status reports for the teams use in regards to the documentation of sustainability.
• Monitor team members to produce sustainable architectural and engineering services within a project team concept.
• Review selected shop drawing submittals during construction administration for sustainable requirement compliance.
• Conduct material and product research as required for project development.
• Attend project meetings as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
SKILL, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree of Architecture or Engineering preferred.
• LEED Accreditation required.
• Minimum five years experience in the A/E industry preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional services from schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise
• A comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
