Chris Buntine gave a presentation at AIASF COTE: ‘Are You Ready for the ZNE Design Challenge? He presented parameters which are driving this direction in the design world including metrics on global warming, adaptation & survivability, California GHG legislation, the California new Building Code and the ASHRAE EQ labeling system. He presented a case study of analysis, design and construction changes needed to transform a high performance school building into a Grid Neutral; and, then what further measures would be needed to achieve ZNE.
