On July 12 Brent Miller and Chris Buntine presented at the Society for College and University Planning conference in Minneapolis along with co-presenter David Umstot, Vice Chancellor of Facilities Management for the San Diego Community College District. The primary message was that NZE buildings are achievable and can make economic sense. Establishing aggressive energy use intensity (EUI) goals at the beginning of a project is key.
