The Fetzer Institute, a philanthropic organization supporting research into Mind, Body, Spirit, and Health, commissioned Seasons, A Center for Renewal, to provide an environment on their campus for the exchange of these ideas. The design of the Retreat Center literally “grows” out of the ground, completely integrated with nature. It is constructed of randomly-sized and coarsely laid ledge rock stone, concrete and natural sheetings, natural concrete floors, and natural wood interior finishes.
